The upgrades support the current and future electric demand, strengthen the local power grid, and increase reliability in the area. Company representatives are presenting a route to the community and plan to file with the Ohio Power Siting Board this fall. If approved, crews expect to begin construction early 2027 and conclude fall 2027.
Property ROW LLC (PROW) serves as AEP Ohio's right-of-way representative for this project. PROW representatives plan to contact landowners in the coming weeks to discuss the project, upcoming field activities and next steps.
